Shankar first visited the Annamalaiyar Temple at Thiruvannamalai during the year 2002. After his first visit, he experienced lot of good changes in his life. He got a good job in Chennai, and subsequently he got promotions and increments through the grace of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. During his second visit to Tiruvannamalai, he went along with his friend, and after getting down from the bus at Tiruvannamalai Bus Depot, he found that his bag was cut by someone, and the money purse which was kept inside the bag was went missing. Immediately Shankar had thanked Lord Shiva, picked the money purse and cheerfully visited the great Annamalaiyar Temple along with his friend.

Once when a car was about to knock him, he felt that someone had pushed him on the other side of the road, and miraculously he has escaped from that big accident. Similar to that, Shankar had experienced lot of miraculous incidents in his life, and due to the blessings of Lord Shiva, his various health issues were sorted out.
