Introduction
Kanchidesh is the Shakthi Peeth where Devi Sati’s bone, skeleton fell. Here Devi is worshipped as Devgarbh and Bhairava as Ruru. Devi is locally known as Kankaleshwari.

Kanchidesh Shakti Peeth is located about 10 to the north east of Bolpur Station on the banks of the River Kopar, Birbhum district, West Bengal. There is also a well which the devotees worship. Tagore’s Shantiniketan is a major tourist attraction here.
