Hindu Culture and Lifestyle Studies launched in Kisumu

Shrivedant Foundation based in Kenya launched Hindu Culture and Lifestyle Studies at the Shree Sanatan Hindu Union in Kisumu on 21st February 2017 for the benefit of the Hindu Community in the presence of dignitaries belonging to various communities. The over hundred strong audience listened to a detailed presentation on the salient features of the course by the author Vaishali Kamal Shah.

The Content divided into four subjects namely Living Vedic Lifestyle, Inside India, Indian Sciences and Indian scriptures will be taught in three levels Basic, Middle and Advance through a set of twelve books. The course will be offered free to students in the temple premises. More than six volunteers have joined as teachers who will teach the course on Saturdays from 3.30 to 4.30 pm and Sundays from 10.30 to 11.30 am in English and Gujarati.

Initially, the first batch will be for the age group of 8 years to 18 years which will be followed by 19 years to 30 years and to those above 30 years in the coming months. The books and the classes were formally inaugurated by the trustees of the temple, Shree Govind bhai Kaneria and Dr. Prajapati, Chairperson Hitesh Derodra, National Trustee of Hindu Council of Kenya Shree Ramesh Mehta and Vaishali Shah, the Founder of Shrivedant Foundation. Residents of Kisumu and other nearby areas are cordially welcome to avail of this unique program.
